Maintain

When we come to your garden for maintenance, we come with a fresh approach. We see a garden as a beautiful opportunity to cultivate nature in a sustainable and elegant way.

We have been honing our method for the last two decades. By combining permaculture techniques with natural technologies, we cultivate outdoor spaces that are healthy, vibrant and welcoming to humans and wildlife alike.

Maintenance Services

Everything you put in your garden affects the groundwater supply, pollinators’ ability to thrive, and the diversity of the plant palette. We see it as our duty to help you be a steward of the environment. If supporting natural ecosystems is important to you, we will be a great fit!

Monthly maintenance fees start at $300 / Additional services billed separately

  • We tend to your garden like it was our own. Each visit we monitor your planting beds, and address their needs, from manually weeding, pruning, deadheading, and planting. We also mow and edge lawns, and perform upkeep on water features.

  • Specific to your garden's needs, amendments like compost, fertilizers, and mulch as well as irrigation maintenance and lawn maintenance like overseeding, dethatching, and aerating can be added if requested.

  • Consultation on enhancing your existing landscape to continue the vision for your garden is ongoing throughout our service.

We care for your landscape with ecology in mind using hand tools and electric equipment. We refrain from herbicides and pesticides to maintain a healthy outdoor living space for you and your family that is also safe for pollinators.

We don’t use chemical herbicides or pesticides.

Pesticides are unhealthy for the soil, beneficial insects - and us. At Blossom, we keep your garden resilient by building healthy soil so plants grow strong and can defend themselves against pests. We encourage beneficial insects and help create (bug eating) wildlife friendly gardens so your garden stays healthy naturally. When something stronger is required, we turn to natural based solutions like vinegar or clove oil for weed control.

We cultivate nature in an elegant, sustainable way.

Our maintenance teams use clean, quiet equipment.

We often choose hand tools. In our minds, hand-pruning is the only way to bring out the unique beauty in the plants we tend. The precise cuts of hand tools help protect plants against disease, promote healthy plant growth and maintain clean and quiet air. Our blowers, mowers and trimmers utilize electric power so they don’t pollute the air with emissions and noise the way gas powered tools do.

We develop strong, lasting relationships with our clients and their landscapes.

Many of our maintenance clients have worked with us for years. We pride ourselves on building lasting relationships based on quality work, trust, and open communication. Regular garden consultations are included in every maintenance package so when you work with us you always have someone to turn to with questions about weed and pest control, drainage or a small improvement you’ve been dreaming about.

Bring nature home.
